   Welcome to Ghana in London!

Ghanaians are one of the largest African communities living in London.  Although it is hard to determine the exact number, according to a recent Census there are more than 60,000 Ghanaians in the UK.  In the capital, Ghanaians are spread around the borough of : Haringey, Enfield, Croydon, Newham, Lewisham and Brent. Books and archives show that since the 16th Century, people from the former Gold Coast have been coming to London. This website aims to explore the lives of Ghanaians living in London, how they preserve their culture abroad and how they fit into the British society.
